About the role: Project Foreman Description/Job Summary
The Foreman is responsible for coordinating preservation/restoration efforts and administrative duties on the jobsite in support of the Superintendent. The Foreman supports the Superintendent in managing the flow of information between the field, management, and the client to ensure that components and systems are incorporated in accordance with the contract. The Foreman supports the Superintendent, oversees the assigned scopes of work being produced, and directs the field staff to ensure a high-quality finished project that is on time and under budget.
Responsibilities/Duties
Project Execution:
Assists in planning and maintaining job site logistics and conditions.
Ensures safety protocols that are put in place are followed.
Maintains daily site documents including JHA's, AHA's, and Daily Logs Ensures Daily paperwork is accurate and reflective of actual work being done
Maintains job progress photos.
Coordinates with the Superintendent to ensure adequate field personnel are scheduled and on-site to complete scopes of work efficiently.
Works with Superintendent on developing, monitoring, updating and maintaining the project schedule.
Maintains a clear and concise understanding of scopes of work under contract and ensures any additional work is approved before proceeding.
Coordinates with Superintendent to ensure approved products and means and methods are accurately followed.
Oversees scheduling, safety, documentation, and quality of work of subcontractors. Delete this sentence
Ensures changes to project files, plans, specifications, and as-built documents are transmitted to PE. Delete this Sentence
Ensures job costs are kept to a minimum by finding inefficiencies and directing the flow of work.
This position would be based from either Columbus, OH or Savage, MD. The Columbus Branch requires the ability to travel to jobsites around the country. The Savage branch is local to the DMV area, some travel may be available, but not required
Communication:
Supports the Superintendent in establishing and maintaining relationships with Owner’s representatives, design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers. The foreman is often the face of the workforce on site, so is responsible for ensuring a professional image is presented by themselves and the crew.
Acts as a liaison between jobsite crew, subcontractors, and the Superintendent
Assists the PM and PE in managing and maintaining project-specific information systems. Delete this sentence
Assists the Superintendent in communication with the field crew on scheduling changes and time off requests
Communicates issues arising in the field to the appropriate channel, and handles appropriately
What You’ll Bring
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
3+ years of masonry and construction experience (preferred)
Necessary Knowledge and Skills
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to problem solve, effectively prioritize, and drive processes
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-phase project environment with shifting priorities
Ability to identify and implement more efficient practices
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to use and work with historic mortars, using proper means and methods(preferred)
Software Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in using Procore a plus
Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Work, Excel, Project and other web-based tools and systems a plus
Proficiency in using AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software is a plus Delete, may scare some people off
