Aerotek Assembly Technician in Saugerties, New York
The Orbital Welde r is responsible for welding, cutting, and assembly of metal parts according to work orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
This role involves familiarization with orbital welding systems, gas flow characteristics, and the use of inspection gauges such as micrometers. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, clean room procedures, and maintaining tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
Responsibilities:
Weld, cut, and assemble metal parts
Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
Participate in training to learn basic department functions
Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment
Comply with company policies and safety requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, equivalent, or related experience required
Ability to focus on and complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to train in multiple disciplines
Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
