What you’ll be doing
In these roles, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, insights and reporting to key lines of business within CIBC. This includes ensuring the integrity of financial results, providing consolidated reporting, analyzing and interpreting data and identifying financial risks and opportunities.

How you’ll succeed
Financial analysis - Develop financial models and complete trend, performance and variance analysis, reviewing financial information to ensure risks are identified and underlying causes of variances are understood. Provide financial impacts of various scenarios and “what if” situations; develop specialized reporting and performs ad-hoc analysis as required.
Accounting and controls – Utilize general accounting policies and practices and good business and analytical skills to assess and interpret business and stakeholder needs. In addition, employ financial control frameworks to support and ensure integrity of financial data.
Data analytics – Support Finance transformation and analysis through the use of modern data mining techniques and data analytics tools (Excel, Alteryx, Tableau etc.)
Relationship management - Facilitate communications between operating units and resolve difficult or complex departmental procedures or problems to ensure successful completion of goals. Develop and sustain strong stakeholder relationships internally/externally and act as a trusted advisor to the business.
Who you are
· You can demonstrate experience in financial analysis, reporting or accounting, ideally within a Financial Services or similar environment. It is an asset if you have strong data analysis and Excel skills. Exposure to capital markets products will be considered an asset as well.
· You’re a certified professional. Working towards a CPA or CFA designation will be considered an asset.
