Oberg Industries Quotations Coordinator in Sarver, Pennsylvania
Are you a master of multi-tasking with a passion for precision? Join our team as a Quotations Coordinator and play a key role in driving our business forward! The Quotations Coordinator will manage, review, and deliver precise quotes to our clients while ensuring customer satisfaction.
What you will do in your role:
Quote products and assemblies for external sale with consistency.
Provide customers with quotes of spare tooling and components.
Research Request for Quotes (RFQ's).
Research past jobs for similar prints of a new or current job.
Work alongside Engineering with the development of new projects to improve the quality, reduce cost-to-manufacture, and reduce lead-time of components and assemblies.
Communicate with the customers to determine requirements prior to quoting.
Work with other departments, as required, to compile information needed for quotes.
Research and compile hours and materials costs.
Review key criteria, such as quotation turnaround time, quotation accuracy, yields, quoted to actual ratios, and customer order activity.
Maintain a customer base to assist with issues of negotiations, technical problems, requirements, and grievances.
Communicate customer, competition, and market information.
Review jobs after shipment for accuracy of quoted hours and manufacturing hours.
What you need to have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as Quotes Estimator in the field required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
Background in business or finance preferred.
Ability to read and understand detail and assembly drawings.
Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.
Ability to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication.
Ability to understand written correspondence.
Proficient in using computer programs such as Microsoft Windows applications, ERP system, and CAD design software.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses and safety shoes.
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly have to travel through the manufacturing departments. The atmosphere is a climatic office setting, and the employee will spend the majority of time at a desk. The employee will be required to travel, including internationally. This position requires on-site work. Remote work options are not available.
