Per Diem | Weekday and Weekend Shifts Available

* Pay rate between $ 15.20-16.41 /hour * (based on experience)

What will I do as a Receptionist for The Wesley Community?

  • Establish and communicate the coordination of staffing schedule to receptionists.

  • Directly responsible for always coordinating appropriate staffing and considered "on call" to find/fulfill coverage needs and oversee scheduling of planned and unscheduled callouts.

  • Welcome and provide guidance under the oversight of the Director of Life Enrichment as needed to members of The Wesley Community volunteer program during their visits to The Wesley Community.

  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of communicating information to the volunteers in The Wesley Community volunteer program via mailing, phone, e-mail.

  • Operate paging/telephone system as required.

  • Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.

  • Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone numbers of key department personnel, phone extensions, etc.

  • Receive requests from within the facility and locate personnel through paging system.

  • Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.

  • Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.

  • Ensure guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed.

  • Assist with administrative duties as directed. (Includes typing, filing, making Comprehensive Care Plan phone calls, etc.)

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.

  • Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office or resident room.

  • Order supplies as directed. Assist volunteers in completing supply request forms for the gift shop as needed.

  • Assist with collation of mailings, as necessary.

    Receptionist Requirements :

  • Must be, as a minimum, a high school graduate.

  • Minimum of two years in a clerical position or completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college preferred.

  • Experience with multi-line phone system preferred.
