About the Position

This role requires a high level of technical expertise. If selected, you will work independently with the business centers and also as project lead for members of a team. In addition you will provide software support, code development, contract management, system integration, and consulting services to county departments. You would also be responsible for managing web applications, analyzing requirements for web and third-party applications, maintaining, and modifying existing web applications, designing, and developing new web applications, and reporting project status, as well as maintaining third-party applications. Application Support, Development

  • Implement new and modified programs or modules following ITIL best practices.

  • Assist in the specification, installation, testing, and support of new versions of operating systems, databases, and other customized or purchased software as it relates to supported applications.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for customers, partners, and other IT professional staff.

  • Maintain in-house web applications using the approved application development platform and tools: ASP .NET, MS SQL, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, in a MS Windows environment.

  • Develop and maintain SQL Server Views, Stored Procedures, SSIS.

  • Develop and maintain MS Power BI reports.

  • Provide 24/7 application support during on-call time.

  • Participate in technical designs to ensure compliance with business requirements and technical specifications.

  • Attend training classes, conferences, seminars, and workshops to increase knowledge in system analysis and design, computer programming, utilities, and other applicable skills such as written and oral communication, project management, and leadership skills.

  • Participate in user groups, formal classes, and self-instruction to keep abreast of the latest developments and technical advances in the industry as they relate to assigned projects and responsibilities.

Technical Lead/Project Management

  • Actively participates as project lead in software and hardware upgrades and keeps manager informed of progress, obstacles.

  • Advise management and provide recommendations on technical and project issues.

Contract Management

  • Ability to apply independent judgment and creativity to resolution of contract issues.

  • Act as a consultant and liaison for users and ensure that problems are handled appropriately by prioritizing internally and working with staff/vendors to insure timely resolution. Provide feedback to customers and to IT managers as necessary.

Partnerships/Customer Service/Consulting

  • Provide training to customers and other IT professional staff who use programs/systems.

  • Acquire and maintain working knowledge of customers' operation and business needs by participating in meetings, reviewing relevant documentation, and openly communicating with customers as necessary.

About the Schedule

Working Hours:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

  • Monday - Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.

  • On-Call is required for this role. Work schedules may vary due to split shifts, rotations, on-call, emergencies, etc.

  • This position is eligible to work remotely up to two days per week after serving the 6 month probationary period!

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

  • -OR- Two (2) year degree -AND- Two (2) years of related work experience.

  • -OR- Strong equivalent work experience may substitute for formal education, at discretion of management.

  • Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire.

    CJIS Clearance: The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as a part of the hiring process.

Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

Starting Pay Range: $26.99 - $36.07
