Sarasota County Government OFM Systems Analyst (Business Professional II) in Sarasota, Florida

Our Office of Financial Management (OFM) has an opening for a Systems Analyst (Business Professional II) who will provide technical assistance and training to customers, maintain system efficiency, and troubleshoot problems reported by users for software systems such as OneSolution, OnBase, and OpenGov. The ideal candidate is tech savvy with great customer service and has a minimum of two years of related work experience.

This position starts out paying $56,139.20 - $66,684.80 (based on experience), benefits begin within 60 days of hire, and there are opportunities for advancement.

About the Position

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the configuration, maintenance, support, integration, and optimization of software systems used by OFM (including, but not limited to OneSolution, OnBase, and OpenGov). For more information, see below...

Technical Support and Training

  • Regularly monitors workflow performance, and troubleshoots complex issues related to system functionality, data integrity, security, and business process functionality.

  • Serve as Board of County Commissioners (BCC) point of contact for OneSolution issues. T Reports issues by returning to Desktop Support for action, escalating to BCC Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), or escalating to Clerk EIT and/or Financial System Administrator, as needed. Keeps affected data owners and users apprised of status.

  • Provide end-user support and training, ensuring users are equipped to effectively utilize the systems (including running reports and basic navigation training). Design training manuals, guidelines, and/or training videos.

  • Update and maintain user manuals, guides, and tutorials for OFM systems, including OneSolution, OnBase, and OpenGov.

  • Coordinate new user access, provide new user training, and establish initial system settings and preferences for new users.

  • Interface with supervisor to provide detailed and technical project/unit information.

  • Identify, address, and report system operation issues.

  • Share meaningful information with the appropriate audiences, using available resources.

System Administration

  • Update, monitor, and maintain user security. Create new user accounts, reset passwords, and disable accounts as needed.

  • Remain knowledgeable regarding upcoming product releases; reviewing release notes, assessing new features, reviewing changes in functionality, and understanding the impacts on business processes.

  • Assist in the development of standard and ad-hoc reports.

  • Assist the Clerk of Court and County Comptroller’s Information Technology team (Clerk IT) in building, maintaining, and updating master files used in OneSolution security and workflow design. Work collaboratively with Clerk IT to create and/or change workflow model roles, designs, and data elements by refining the logical workflow design for purchase requests/purchase order approval routing and other functions.

  • Develop standard reports and compile and analyze data to aid in research.

Project Management

  • Participate in strategic planning to implement new modules, enhancements, and integrations to existing systems.

  • Collaborate as a team member with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into system configurations and workflows. May develop new solutions within existing functionality to address emerging needs.

  • Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within systems.

  • Lead system testing, including, but not limited to: unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for updates, enhancements, and integrations.

About the Schedule

Work Hours:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

  • Monday - Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or job-related field -AND- Two (2) years of job-related experience.

  • -OR- Six (6) years of professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.

  • Valid Florida driver's license by date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial and electronic bidding systems including managing new user setup and access.

  • Experience with data visualization programs such as Power BI and SQL.

  • Experience developing and facilitating end-user software training.

Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.

Starting Pay Range: $56,139.20 - $66,684.80, based on experience.
