Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Sarasota, Florida

Description

We are offering an exciting role for an Accounts Payable Clerk located in Sarasota, Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and create vendors in the ERP system and the payment system for ACH payments.

  • Prepare, post, and verify invoices from a variety of vendors including accessing and downloading them from online portals.

  • Work within multiple records and payment systems simultaneously.

  • Communicate with purchasing and other departments to resolve discrepancies on purchase orders and verify validity of invoices.

  • Ensures timely payment of outstanding invoices with understanding of discounts, payment terms and purchase orders.

  • Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions; assist in audits and collections on accounts.

    Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures

• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is highly desirable.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
