Oracle’s Industry Innovation Labs provides a testing ground where customers can explore, ideate, and innovate solutions to their toughest challenges. In September, Oracle will launch our latest innovation center located in Sao Paulo Brazil. Co-creation workshops with customers and partners will tackle complex problems across a variety of industries.

Oracle has an immediate need for a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer to join our Oracle Latin American team located in. The position is a multi-faceted role where they will setup, test, configure and troubleshoot a wide variety of devices (Wifi, Scanners, Cash Registers, etc…) and technologies. The desired person should have a broad spectrum of hardware and technical skills to help assist with the device setup and troubleshooting needed on a day-to-day basis. The specific location will be the Oracle Concept Floor in Sao Paulo Brazil.

Required Skills:

• Four years of experience as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

• Experience in supporting Operating Systems, with the ability to troubleshoot OS issues on Both Linux and Windows.

• A good understanding of Database technology with Oracle Database experience.

• Knowledge of implementation of enterprise software stack: with database and middleware

• Experience functioning as a technical expert across multiple project assignments

• Ability to engineer complex systems with integrated software and hardware solutions.

• A good knowledge of a variety of hardware and peripherals.

• Experience tracking both hardware and software requirements

Responsibilities

• Work with various development teams, hardware Engineers to stage, document, test and maintain the on-site hardware and software lab environment.

• Provide technical expertise to analyze complex hardware systems and software, network design and other technical hardware issues

• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, and utilization of variety of hardware and software for customer demonstrations.

• Hardware setup and integration.

• Schedule and coordinate hardware and software integration tasks with other groups.

• Thorough understanding of configuration management systems, hardware interfaces.

• Hands on interaction with multiple software and hardware platforms.

• Provide assistance to Application Engineers during their site time.

• Command a clear understanding of Hardware and Software Integration issues.

• Help with the resolution of all acceptance faults.

• Coordinate and review technical/operational deliverables prior to demonstrations to customers.
