Amazon Sr Commercial Planning Manager in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Amazon.com.br is looking for a Sr. Commercial Planning Manager to join our Retail team in Brazil.

In this position you will be responsible for driving, autonomously, the strategy and execution of high impact projects and activities related to Demand Planning, Forecast, Seasonality and Buying, to maximize product availability, margins and inventory turns, in a scalable way, for your own Product Family or Retail wise.

The right candidate thrives in a high energy and speed environment, where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel and can work with autonomy.

Key job responsibilities

The Sr. Commercial Planning Manager will drive, design and manage scalable solutions to improve Planning and Buying, creating role model processes.

Main goal is to assure Amazon will have high levels of product availability while holding optimal inventory available to fulfill customer’s needs to support Product Family growth.

  • Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Buying processes and operational review using large amount of data to identify root cause of issues;

  • Define action plan and projects to eliminate defects on Availability, Buying and related processes, creating sustainable results in the long term;

  • Cooperate and build relationship with the Product Family Team and Central Team to leverage improvements through new processes and projects;

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business Administration or similar Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics discipline;

  • Solid experience in Supply Chain management, performance metrics, project management, retail and/or consulting;

  • Strong ownership, analytical skills, ability with numbers, problem solving and project management skills;

  • High level of self-organization, prioritization and time management;

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese;

  • Flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, autonomous and comfortable with large databases and tools;

  • Ability to understand needs and drive alternative solutions for operational processes;

  • Experience with SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with purchasing, buying, demand planning, forecast and seasonality in e-commerce/retail or project management in consulting company;

  • Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
