Description

As part of our innovative and energetic fitness technologies group, we are seeking a dynamic, highly organized writer for Apple Fitness+ who can produce written and scripted content to encourage users to get and stay active and focus on their wellbeing. This person is both a strategic thinker and a skilled communicator with a proven track record for planning and executing their own workflow on tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment and within a highly collaborative team. The role demands articulating a high-level vision and advocating for it, while getting into the details. It is essential to have experience partnering with executives across an organization to understand and support upcoming priorities. The ideal candidate is a brilliant communicator, both spoken and written, with a deep knowledge of—and passion for—fitness and wellbeing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Top-notch writing and editing skills.

• 5+ years writing and editing original copy. Focus on and experience with fitness, and wellness writing and scripting an asset.

• Ability to collaborate across a wide variety of teams to ensure that our creative vision is realized in the copy we produce. This position plays a meaningful role in evolving our overall voice and tone to inspire Fitness+ users.

• Excellent communication, cross-group collaboration, and planning skills with precise attention to detail.

• Experience dealing with accelerated timelines and shifting deliverables—while being able to prioritize, communicate tradeoffs, and keep teams on track.

• Experience following and contributing to a style guide.

• Ability to be self-directed as well as collaborate with other writers and teams on deliverables that represent a single, cohesive voice.

• Flexibility in writing style and an ability to implement feedback and editing notes from multiple sources.

• Ability to successfully coordinate, prioritize, and run multiple projects simultaneously and under deadline.

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,400 and $202,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
