Join us as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving engineering excellence across multiple departments and leading transformative initiatives.

In this role, you will focus on addressing the engineering needs of departments including the Machine Shop, Finishing, Fabrication, and Shipping. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring rigorous enforcement of safety policies and procedures, as well as overseeing the entire lifecycle of CAPEX projects—from initial planning through to the successful installation of capital equipment. A key aspect of your role will involve creating and updating procedures and standard work methodologies, guiding them through to implementation and ensuring their effective adoption.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in training operators on these updated procedures, ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform at their best. What You Will Do:

  • Reviews and documents quality related items to ensure that established quality standards are met.

  • Identifies cost reduction and process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

  • Leverages analysis on cell performance and productivity to maximize productivity.

  • Implements the use of proper and new tooling to improve efficiencies throughout the departments.

  • Leads lean initiatives through by leading Kaizen events.

  • Develops justifications through financial and capacity analysis for new capital equipment and follow through in full installation and implementation into production.

  • Occasional travel between 5-10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working on or with a cross functional Operations team

  • Experience with continuous improvement and lean initiatives

  • Project management experience

  • Experience related to CNC machining, Part Measurement/Inspection, SOP creation.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
