Our team owns the mobile apps that sellers and vendors use to run their businesses worldwide.

We are a small team with a huge mission located downtown in Santa Cruz, CA. We own most of our business end to end. You will work closely with world-class PMs, Designers, and TPMs, all dedicated to delivering the best mobile experiences for hundreds of thousands of sellers every month.

Successful candidates will be innovative, flexible, and self-directed. The right candidate will partner with product and engineering leadership to define the teams vision, translate this vision into a roadmap, and help the team execute to this roadmap.

Key job responsibilities

Join the mobile team within Partner Foundations, and help develop the federated applications that our sellers worldwide use to run their business from a mobile device.

Successful candidates will be innovative, flexible, and self-directed, comfortable turning business requirements into code that is high-performance, reliable, and maintainable. They will also appreciate the 252 average sunny days every year here in Santa Cruz.

About the team

We develop a mobile SDK used by partner teams to build mobile app pages in their business domains. As such, we have two sets of customers - The Sellers/Vendors that use our apps to manager their business, and the partner teams that build pages in these apps using our technology. We are mobile experts that work across iOS and Android to hide the complexities of these systems from our partners while ensuring that they deliver delightful experiences to our external customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • 1+ Year of Android development experience preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
