ABOUT THE ROLE
As a CBRE Technical Supervisor, you will supervise a team responsible for providing administrative, process improvement and financial function support to an assigned group of senior technical business leaders.
A qualified candidate is going to need to have in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (i.e. boilers, cooling towers, chillers, compressors, processed chilled water, exhaust fans, DI water) in order to lead the team of building engineers and maintenance technicians responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on these systems.
They’ll be assigning daily work orders, coordinating subcontractor activity, interacting with the building occupants to schedule and coordinate work when applicable, assisting the engineers and techs with troubleshooting, etc. and will support the development and performance of the team alongside the Sr. FM.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Act as liaison with business leaders, facilities managers, and clients to forecast workload demand and project deliverables.
Lead, plan, coordinate, schedule, and be responsible for the workload, deadlines, and day-to-day activities of the support team members to ensure effective delivery of services.
Coordinate and supervise the team's daily activities.
Apply sophisticated knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
Mentor others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Anticipate potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams.
Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Education and Experience
Five (5) - Eight (8) years of job-related experience;
In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Larger supervisory experience with HVAC, Electrical, & Plumbing technicians
Campus facilities experience
Experience with BMS (building controls), Boiler and Chiller operations
Knowledge of Siemens Desigo BMS and Maximo CMMS preferred
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary is $130,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
