The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to- market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Key job responsibilities

• Lead GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain, thinking through challenges on a 1-3+ year time scale.

• Leverage your deep domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategy. Support field teams in solution building for high priority customers.

• Bring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.

• Own reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.

• Demonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

About the team

The WWSO CloudOps team helps customers manage and operate their applications in the cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments with security, scalability, and reliability. Our team helps customers utilize relevant AWS services for customers to innovate and unlock new potential in a cost-effective manner. We focus on building prescriptive guidance and solutions to customers’ Observability and Automated Operations use cases. As a Business Development Specialist on the CloudOps team, you will create scaled GTM motions for AWS CloudOps services to expand adoption of these services into new or existing customer portfolios. This position will help AWS customers worldwide adopt Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon OpenSearch, AWS Cloudtrail, and AWS Systems Manager to run effectively on the AWS cloud.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience related to business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, or program/product management experience.

  • Experience building and executing Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives that scale across an organization, demonstrating ability to work effectively across internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.

  • Experience speaking at technology conferences, as well as communicating across the organization from technical staff to VP/CxOs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S., MBA or other higher degree in a business or technical field

  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.

  • Understanding of cutting-edge Generative AI, embodied AI concepts.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills with experience communicating to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO) and Line of Business Leaders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
