Nvidia Senior Safety Architect - Autonomous Vehicles in Santa Clara, California
NVIDIA is widely considered to be a leader in autonomous drive technology employing some of the most innovative engineers and technologists. We are looking for a creative and expert Safety Architect to help us bring NVIDIA's safe autonomous vehicle technology out to the world. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety of autonomous driving products at scale, working on architecture, requirements, and evaluation in a multi-functional capacity.
You will work with hardworking and dedicated safety and SW engineering development teams to integrate their work into our autonomous DRIVE products, while achieving or exceeding all relevant NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. You'll find the work is exciting, fun, and meaningful!
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead multi-functional initiatives to define safety architecture and requirements for autonomous vehicles
Create and improve autonomous driving safety metrics in collaboration with experts in e.g. perception, deep learning, path planning and safety architecture
Improve processes and tools for data-driven safety evaluation
Share safety readiness results with collaborators and management
What We Need to See:
MS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics or equivalent experience
8+ years of relevant industry experience
A structured approach to systems and software development
You have a proven record of successfully leading multi-functional efforts on architecture, design or verification.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Machine Learning & Robotics
V&V of safety-critical systems as well as s ensor technologies, e.g. radar, lidar, camera
System safety methodologies & practices (FMEA, FTA, STPA,..)
Safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL4600, ISO21448,..)

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
