Nvidia Senior Product Quality Engineer in Santa Clara, California

We are looking for a Senior Product Quality Engineer to join our team leading all aspects of failure analysis for NVIDIA’s data center liquid-cool product segment throughout the life of the product. You will greatly influence quality across the company through interactions with internal and external engineering groups. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills with a strong structured problem-solving background and proven experience in failure root cause resolution. Your hands-on failure analytical skills are essential as you will be working to drive quality improvement initiatives and programs.
What You'll be Doing:
Champion root cause debug efforts on liquid-cool data center board RMA product returns
Set-up and debug of liquid-cooled data center platform products with a variety of components.
Analyze, coordinate, and perform failure analysis activities to identify root cause of customer reported issues.
Generate 8D failure analysis reports and/or presentations for management and external customer review and discussion.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions are identified, implemented and effectiveness verified to address the root cause of quality complaints.
Perform detailed data analysis to correlate customer failures with internal production data to help understand root cause, risk, and exposure.
Create and review failure pareto trends based on customer failure information and recommend vital actions for continuous improvement with multi-functional team.
Design, implement and maintain failure analysis protocols, processes, and methods for analyzing field return products.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to address any potential quality gaps and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures.
Quality representative to internal teams, supporting activities for customer quality and internal quality requirements.
What we need to see:
BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) or other related engineering field
8+ years of failure analysis experience on liquid-cooled data center products
Experience with data center liquid cooling technologies (direct-to-chip, immersion, in-rack etc.)
Knowledge of data center system architecture and components such as servers, storage devices, network devices, power supplies, cooling systems, security, and software.
Familiar with liquid-cool data center system testing methods and management tools.
Knowledge on Linux system and Linux Shell Scripts.
Exceptional problem solving and Failure Analysis, strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
The technical background of server products design verification/validation, production testing, or statistical analysis is a plus.
Experience in leading internal and external multi-functional teams in failure analysis activities.
Excellent structured problem solving, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
The base salary range is 136,000 USD - 218,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
