Nvidia Senior Hardware SoC Architect in Santa Clara, California
We are looking for a Senior Hardware SoC Architect for our Tegra Team! Do you want to be a part of Artificial Intelligence Revolution? NVIDIA is developing processor and system architectures that are at the forefront of accelerating machine learning, automotive and high-performance computing applications. We are building the most advanced SoC's in the world for these applications and are looking for SoC architects to join our effort. In this position, you will have the chance to define future aspects of our architectures that bring together NVIDIA GPUs, custom processors and accelerators into a single chip. Your role will be cross-disciplinary, working with software, ASIC design, verification, physical design, VLSI and platform teams. Our SoC architects excel at pushing the state of the art, while making the best engineering trade-offs.
The NVIDIA Tegra Architecture team is seeking a high-quality architect for our Fuse and Repair Architecture Team. This position requires an interest in reset and boot-related chip-level infrastructure domains in SOCs. It will also require a strong background in System C-modeling and scripting and an interest in improving methodologies and automations for improving team efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of teams to determine fuse and repair architectures, based on IP and product requirements. This involves working with other IP architects, designers, verification, Physical Design, Software, DFT, Security, Automotive Safety and others. You will be required to capture these requirements in various architecture documents clearly and drive their reviews. You will also be required to review both upstream and downstream specifications and verification plans, as well as the development of architectural C-models. Additionally, you would be involved in implementing methodologies that would help improve the efficiency of the team and the quality of our outputs.
What we need to see:
A Masters Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 3+ years relevant industry experience
Strong knowledge of chip reset, boot and initialization
Good knowledge of ASIC design/verification/implementation flows
Excellent written, verbal and negotiation skills, to work with others and build consensus
Excellent analytical and independent problem-solving skills
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Perl or Python
Strong C++/SystemC experience
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Previous Experience with Fuse and/or Repair controllers
First-hand experience with crafting Architectural C-Models
Automotive Functional Safety working experience with ISO26262 standard

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
