Nvidia Manager, Artificial Intelligence Algorithms in Santa Clara, California

NVIDIA is seeking an engineering leader to manage the activities related to productizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Deep Learning(DL) software and models. In this role you will lead, mentor forward-thinking engineers and will be responsible for ownership of related activities and interactions with teams across NVIDIA. You will be working with key internal partners on priority alignment across relevant teams for roadmap development of highly optimized novel and state-of-the-art AI software systems and algorithms.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, schedule, and lead the execution of projects and activities of the team related to NeMo Framework (https://github.com/NVIDIA/NeMo) and Megatron Core (https://github.com/NVIDIA/Megatron-LM/tree/main/megatron/core)

  • Solve large-scale, end-to-end AI training and inference-deployment challenges

  • Performance tuning and optimizations of AI/DL application framework & software components.

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to align on priorities across business units and geographic locations

  • Grow and develop a world-class team

What we need to see:

  • Masters or PhD degree (or equivalent experience)

  • At least 10 overall years of relevant industry experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math, or related field

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring software engineering teams

  • Working knowledge of one of the deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, JAX)

  • Excellent understanding of SDLC practices including architecting, testing, continuous integration, and documentation

  • Strong communication, analytical and organization skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience with large scale AI training and understanding of the compute system concepts (latency/throughput bottlenecks, pipelining, multiprocessing), related performance analysis and tuning.

  • Familiarity with generative AI techniques applied to LLM and Multi modality learning (Image, Video, Speech).

  • Knowledge of GPU/CPU architecture and related numerical software.

  • Contributions to open source deep learning frameworks.

The base salary range is 220,000 USD - 419,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
