Your Career

Palo Alto Networks has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager, Unit 42 Speedboat Finance professional to join our team. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Unit 42 Finance and work with the Unit 42 Finance Team and its respective business partners to help build and deliver on our financial plans, support strategic decision-making, provide financial insights, and help build operational rigor and efficiency.

This individual will also partner with Theater and Central Finance teams, and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations and Strategy on a regular basis. Being successful in this role requires a strong analytical ability, excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to support/enable process improvement and insights across all the key FP&A areas.

Your Impact

  • Build and develop cybersecurity consulting metrics - you will continue to refine existing and design new KPIs to make them business relevant and able to analyze trends, as well as changes versus industry benchmarks

  • Own all key Unit 42 financial metrics (incl. ARR, Bookings, Revenue, Margins, Renewal rate, Customer lifetime value, etc.) - You will own the process, build financial models in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau or other systems to set up fully automated models - You will also be tasked with examining and validating data to ensure reporting is accurate and precise

  • Architect of visual presentation - Your analytical, storytelling and artistic skills will be very handy for our monthly and quarterly performance review decks, as well as other custom business presentations to senior management

  • Be a Strategist - You will have many opportunities to dig deeper into the business to provide actionable insights and recommendations through data analysis

  • Collaborate cross-functionally - (e.g. Theater finance, India COE team, IT, Customer Success, Sales Ops, etc) to continually improve metrics alignment, consistency, data integrity, and automation

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or an Economics-related field or equivalent military experience required

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent experience a plus

  • 8+ years of related FP&A and business analysis experience with record of strong achievement

  • Understand drivers and economics of both SaaS and consulting-oriented business models

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and experience with financial systems and data visualization tools (e.g. SFDC, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, and Clarizen)

  • Ability to prioritize business needs, adapt to rapid business changes, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively

  • Preferred Qualifications - Deep understanding of, or a strong willingness to learn, revenue recognition and management accounting techniques (i.e., cost accounting, project-oriented accounting)

  • Bonus points for experience merging, enhancing, and analyzing large data sets utilizing data analytics technologies (e.g. SQL, R, Python, Looker) and Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs)

  • Must be an energetic team player who is self-motivated, proactive, organized, and maintains positive attitude

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $127000 - $205500/YR.
