Applied Materials Application Development Engineer IV - FIB - (E4) in Santa Clara, California
Key Requirements
Fib and metrology expert
Develop innovative solutions and qualify the new techniques and application using FIB tools
Evaluate FIB tools capability. Define and implement the solutions to address the gaps
Complex problem-solving; ability to take a new perspective on existing solutions
Develop and publish best known method (BKM) procedures including, sample preparation (filling, coating) and Fib conditions.
Develop robust methodology for quality and TPT improvement including on tool automation
Develop analytic methods and generate summary, conclusion and insights from the results
Interfaces with the customer regarding technical requirements, analysis and schedule
Experience
Bachelor or Master Engineering degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electronics or Material Science
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in handling Dual beam FIB, EDX, Sample Preparation tools
Understand Semiconductor devices, structures and processes
Demonstrate strong analytical skills, in-depth troubleshooting capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Programming skills is a plus

U.S. Salary Range:
$147,000.00 - $202,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
