About the role

As the Contract Manufacturing Materials Manager, your primary focus will be on managing the flow of materials required for our contract manufacturing operations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring timely procurement, effective inventory management, and seamless coordination with our contract manufacturers.

Execute operational plans, storing and shipping of products, executing activities, responding to complex inquiries, and ensuring the quality of work; develop inventory control reports and manuals; work with the Stand-up Delivery Assurance Organization; overview of the entire Supply Chain workstream and offer high visibility Operations leadership, Inventory Management, and Change Management process.

The role of the Contract Manufacturing Materials Manager is not just critical, but also central in overseeing the procurement, management, and logistics of materials required for manufacturing processes outsourced to contract manufacturers. It's a key link in our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Procurement:

  • Develop and execute material procurement strategies for contract manufacturing.

  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules and minimize downtime.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.

  • Implement inventory control processes and systems to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of inventory records.

Supplier Coordination:

  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to understand their material needs and constraints.

  • Manage supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.

  • Coordinate material requirements and delivery schedules with contract manufacturing partners.

  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing material flow and reducing transportation costs.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in material management and procurement.

  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on material management performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to align material management strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders on material-related issues and requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of material transactions, supplier agreements, and inventory levels.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on material management activities, issues, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Master's degree

  • 7+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain roles within a contract manufacturing environment.

  • Proven expertise in SAP-BPCS (AS400)

  • Power BI/Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience leading teams and managing complex projects.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standard
