About the role

Senior Test Engineer is accountable for ensuring that our products are properly tested and free of defects prior to delivery to the customers. This person works closely with the design, manufacturing, and quality teams to make sure that our electronic products are designed for testability and manufacturability and that the customer’s expectations are being met with regards to quality.

The Test Engineer is responsible for designing, assembling, wiring and debugging of new automated electronic functional test systems and software programs, bench top test systems and fixtures. The test engineer is also responsible for specifying or fabrication of software download stations, signal conditioning circuitry, bench top test fixtures, cables, connectors, power supplies, cameras, lenses, and miscellaneous specialized test equipment as required.

In addition, the engineer is responsible for analyzing production test data at our sourcing business partner’s factories and generating management reports using Excel, Power Point and Word software tools. The engineer needs to have a familiarity with common hand and power tools, soldering and soldering processes, common electrical diagnostic tools such as digital multi meters and oscilloscopes. The engineer would need to be very familiar with computers and software, microprocessors, common serial and parallel machine communications methods and devices plus have programming skills using common software packages such as Microsoft Visual Basic and C#. The engineer must be intimate with reading of electrical schematics, common circuit board fabrication machines/techniques and memory programming equipment and have a working knowledge and understanding of mechanical drawings. It is very helpful to have experience at troubleshooting electrical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

As a (specify role), you’ll be responsible for:

  • Works independently to perform activities related to planning and designing manufacturing processes and specification requirements to ensure full utilization of manufacturing equipment.

  • Designs and plans the layout of assembly and materials handling operations.

  • Analyzes machinery and equipment designs to ensure factory and production conditions are met.

  • Coordinates and implements operations sequencing and specification procedures to optimize efficiency and quality in the fabrication of tools and equipment.

  • Helps to support existing product line design activities and/or operational process modifications to help enhance products and processes and ensure that current and future business needs are met.

  • Provides technical leadership and helps train lower level staff to diagnose and solve problems and build capabilities.

  • A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience

  • Advanced English

  • University Degree

  • Electronic Knowledge

  • Programming Knowledge (Visual basic, C# )
