Job Responsibilities
As the Supply Chain Architect for the Digital Factory COE, you will play a pivotal role in defining the overall supply chain architecture for Carrier’s Supply Chain and Manufacturing ecosystem. You will work closely with key stakeholders to design the interaction between various digital products ensuring a seamless and efficient supply chain ecosystem. Your technical and business supply chain experience will be critical in drawing a comprehensive roadmap for a complex set of systems that will align with our mission of driving an industry-leading supply chain.
The architect’s role will have a broad impact to the end-to-end Supply Chain at Carrier and you will need to collaborate along with the ability to leverage experience and expertise to influence across organizational lines. The architect will demonstrate supply chain proficiency and a track record in documenting Supply Chain digital vision , articulating recommendations and engaging the right teams to deliver them.
The architect will work with both business and other COE leaders to manage and document an end-to-end solutions architecture to drive consistency, scale, business value and simplifications to our operational workflows. You will make recommendations and best approaches to ensure a seamless digital supply chain.
Maintain a high-level, holistic vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives.
Maintain high-level reference models including the functional/solution architecture, conceptual data architecture, application architecture and integration strategy.
Establish and execute architecture management processes including the governance structure (e.g. Architecture Review Board) and processes.
Understand and communicate strategic themes and other key business drivers for architecture to System Architects and non-technical stakeholders.
Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices.
Facilitate the reuse of ideas, components, and proven patterns .
Bring innovative idea on how to best leverage technology to drive the business transformation for factory business.
Maintain awareness and knowledge of emerging DT technologies and methodologies. Identify appropriate DT technologies & service delivery approaches while considering external benchmarks and best practices.
Qualifications / Skills
Academic Level & Training:
Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of prior experience in IT Management or other information technology.
or Post-graduate Degree with 10+ years of prior experience in IT Management or other information technology.
Desired: Master’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, MBA.
Desired: Lean / Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies certifications.
Language:
- Fluent conversational English (business level).
Travel availability:
- Willing to travel up to 15%.
Technical requirements:
Enterprise and Solution Architecture Framework experience, including best practices, methodologies and documentation processes.
Exceptional ability in defining and diagraming product architecture and strategy.
Familiarity with SAP and industry leading solutions.
Experience in end-to-end implementation for a global, manufacturing company.
Good knowledge in cloud technology.
Deep understanding of IT methodologies like: Scrum, Lean, Kanban and other agile techniques, good knowledge in digital system product management.
Proven track record in successfully implementing ERP, MES/MOM, APS, labor management, TMS/WMS/QMS, TPM, Lean manufacturing systems, BI/data analytics, factory automation, other operation technologies in the manufacturing industry offering complex configurable products.
Desired: Knowledge of advanced manufacturing solutions like Digital manufacturing (Industry 4.0), enablement.

The ability to operate effectively with ambiguity and to go deep in unfamiliar technology areas.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership. The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with other COE’s, BRM’s and stakeholders, understanding their digital needs and serving as the primary point of contact for digital project updates and escalations for the Digital Factory COE.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical & problem-solving skills.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills.
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.
Demonstrated capability to work in cross functional leadership team.
