Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public based in Santa Barbara, California. This role is central to our operations, requiring the preparation of various tax returns, account reconciliation, and a range of other financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and handle Individual, Corporate, S Corporation, and Partnership tax returns.

• Conduct monthly financial statement preparation.

• Manage account reconciliation tasks.

• Prepare, enter, and post year-end closing journal entries.

• Process payroll and generate corresponding reports.

• Handle sales tax-related tasks and issues.

• Utilize skills in Individual Tax Return, Corporate Tax Return, Estate Tax Return, and Trust Tax Returns. Requirements • Proficiency in preparing Individual Tax Returns

• Experience with Corporate Tax Returns

• Knowledge of Estate Tax Returns

• Ability to handle Trust Tax Returns

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred

• Minimum of two years of experience in a public accounting firm

• Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations

• Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and client service skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
