We have an exciting opening as a Staff Accountant in Santa Barbara, California. Key duties of this role will involve managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.

• Manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including the timely and accurate billing of customers.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Maintain the general ledger, making necessary adjustments as needed.

• Monitor financial transactions and reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is necessary.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.

• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.

• Excellent data entry skills and high level of accuracy.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Must have the ability to maintain an orderly and efficient filing system.
