Overview
We are hiring a Faciltiies Project Engineer. The Facilities Project Engineer will assist with designing, obtaining regulatory approval and managing the modification of existing facilities and construction of the facilities.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience working on facility projects such as building renovations, tenant improvements, and general infrastructure upgrades:
• The Project Engineer will be responsible for the successful completion of projects, which vary in size, with high stakeholder satisfaction.
• Manage project delivery from feasibility study to development and planning through construction, closeout, and turnover.
• Plan, coordinate, communicate, and facilitate activities of several disciplines in compliance with program, design, quality, and technical requirements.
• Develop and track schedules, including critical path activity management, fast track approaches and schedule updates as required.
• Support the development and tracking of budgets, including committed costs and final cost projections.
• Support the Maintenance and Facilities team in the management of of key project activities, including document management, weekly meetings, jobsite observations, site logistics, quality control, budget tracking, contractor coordination, and risk management.
• Prepare project schedule, project report, feasibility study, and URS.
• Support maintenance technicians in the troubleshooting of equipment issues.
• Partner with facilities manager to update and improve preventive maintenance programs
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors, consultants, vendors, and public agency employees.
• Communicate with clients, executives, and major stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain accurate files and manage record documents.
• Promote safe work environments.
• Manage projects include, but not limited to: Facilities, Heating and Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) System, Electrical System, and Water Systems.
Required Skills/Education
•Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture, facility management, construction science, project management, or equivalent industry experience, knowledge and expertise.
• 5-7 years’ of managing multiple aspects of the planning, design, budget, renovation, and installation processes in construction and/or renovation of facilities. These include but not limited to the development and management of capital improvement projects, planning, organization, and coordination of construction design and engineering, bidding and project implementation.
• Knowledge on electrical, HVAC, Water for Injection (WFI) and Reverse Osmosis Deionized (RODI) Water systems is highly desirable.
• American Society of Quality Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
• Project Management Institute Professional Management Certification or Bachler Degree preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical, mechanical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and project-scheduling tools is required.
• Understanding of project management principles: process groups and knowledge areas.
• Experience in writing Project Charter, Project Management Plan, User Requirement Specifications, and progress reports.
• Skills on Work Break Down Structure, Schedule Development and Control, Budget Determination and Control, CommunicationManagement, Risk Mitigation and Stakeholder Engagement.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate in English.
Salary and Benefits:
For California, the base salary range for this position is $85,876-111,935 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
