TEKsystems Fiber Splicer in Sanford, North Carolina

Our client is dedicated to delivering high-quality telecommunications services to their customers. We are currently seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer/Telecom Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional service.

Job Description:

  • Perform fusion fiber splicing and termination of fiber optic cables.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure accurate fiber splicing.

  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables to ensure optimal performance.

  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic networks, including underground and aerial installations.

  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

  • Maintain accurate records of splicing activities and project progress.

  • Install, terminate, and test Cat 5/6 cabling.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all splicing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fusion fiber splicing and termination.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Proficiency with fiber optic splicing equipment and tools.

  • Knowledge of Cat5/6 color codes.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
