You will not need to complete an application for specific positions.

Applications and screening interviews must be completed yearly. Only video screening interviews completed after November 12th, 2024 will be considered for the remainder of 2024-25 and the 2025-26 candidate pool.

Job Description:
We are now gathering applications for the 2024-25 & 2025-26 school years for Chinese, French, and Spanish Dual Immersion positions for all grades! Applications and screening interviews must be completed after November 12, 2024 in order to be considered when schools begin interviewing in March 2025.
Preferred Skills:
Candidates must have a teaching license with a Spanish, French, or Chinese endorsement, an OPI score of Advanced Mid or higher, and have or willing to obtain a Dual Immersion and ESL endorsements.
Expired licenses, out of state licenses, and University graduates from May or August 2025 semesters are also eligible to apply for 2025-26 school year positions.

Interns: candidates that are earning a bachelor's degree in Secondary Ed with a Dual Immersion emphasis in the language you are fluent in, passed the appropriate world language praxis test, have not earned a bachelor's degree previously in another subject, and are wanting to have a paid teaching position in lieu of completing student teaching.

To earn your license through the CSD Alternative Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) program (https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/depts/hr/appel/) , you will first apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL). Follow this link (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KVO32TTbzl_31OXlR6amnyMFnqJpZSqgddAZ2kfrCvE/edit) for information on how to apply for an AEL through the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).
Proof of an AEL and OPI score of Advance Mid or higher is required before you will be added to the candidate pool.
If you would prefer to earn your license from a University, you will enroll in a teacher certification program for Dual Immersion at a local university. Once you have been accepted, you will then apply for your Associate Educator License (AEL) and take the OPI.
