We are currently seeking an experienced bakery assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of pastry/baker experience, demonstrating impressive skills in the kitchen. This role requires the ability to work up to 8 hours on your feet, move with speed and precision, and have a comprehensive understanding of food, ingredients, and baking. As our menu evolves seasonally, adaptability to changes is crucial, along with flexibility to work different stations and schedules. Responsibilities: Execute or assist with all tasks related to assembling, mixing, baking, and finishing pastries, following established recipes and procedures. Support the bakers and bakery operations by actively participating in various task to ensure smooth workflow. Execute high-volume pastry production, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to our standards, as well as operate machinery and equipment such as ovens and mixers with proficiency and safety Effectively communicate product information to cafe staff, ensuring accurate and consistent information is relayed to customers Maintain a well-organized system to effectively manage retail demand and orders for our multiple locations, while also monitoring inventory levels Maintain a clean, sanitized, organized, and visually appealing work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years of pastry/baker experience is essential. Creative mindset and willingness to contribute to menu development and special creations. Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent time management skills to meet production and customer demands. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
