Six Flags Mechanic Welder in SANDUSKY, Ohio
Overview:
Assist Ride Maintenance in the repair of rides and attractions, perform welding operations as required, fabricate parts, work with tools and other equipment.
Responsibilities:
Weld items as specified by layouts
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and welding procedures
Must be able to weld in a flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
Prepare parts for repair
Operate welding equipment, and machines as required
Ability to work at heights, including aerial lifts, crane baskets and catwalks
Must have knowledge of common NDT procedures
Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections, including parts or supplies used by labor hours
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Must join Laborers Union
Effective communication skills and maintain accurate records
Able to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb
Ability to demonstrate experience in electronic, electrical, and mechanical work
Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools
Ability to follow manufacturer's manuals and blue prints
Willing to work various shifts and days with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays to meet business needs
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
