Overview:

Job Status/Type: Full-time, year-round

Position Level: Entry to Mid-Level

Shift/Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

The Cedar Point Workforce Management team is looking to add a dynamic, servant leader who knows how to think outside the box. This position will have a significant focus on the scheduling process. As an area manager of workforce management, you will ensure that the scheduling team has the training, tools and understanding needed to meet their objectives effectively and exceed expectations. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless scheduling process by ensuring that schedules are completed in a timely manner, meeting established deadlines and that we have sufficient coverage while adhering to budgeted labor constraints. You will also ensure that your scheduling teams work as a cohesive unit and practices are standard across all sub-teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor productivity of labor force utilizing the WFM system, reporting, and dashboards.

  • Work with Manager of Workforce Management to oversee workforce optimization programs to ensure innovation and standardization of best practices across all divisions.

  • Define key metrics to provide business partners a solid understanding of business performance.

  • Stays current on internal work processes, policies, and procedures and identifies recurring problems around them.

  • Analyze and supervise associate training and certifications, adjusting as needed to ensure staffing levels are achieved.

  • Work with internal audit, HR, and management teams to ensure compliance standards are being met.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of scheduling for a large-scale organization

  • Proficient interpersonal skills

  • 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience

  • 2+ years of experience with WFM software/solutions

  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal

  • A solutions-oriented mentality with a data driven approach

  • Ability to create SOP documentation and manage large scale communication inflow

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
