Description

We are looking to bring on board a Sr. Accountant based in San Ramon, California, to perform a full cycle of accounting and financial activities for our client. The role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records, performing daily reconciliation and reporting of bank balances, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable cycles.

Responsibilities:

• Execute full cycle of accounting and financial activities.

• Analyze and reconcile accounts according to established procedures and perform research as needed.

• Develop complex spreadsheets and resolve accounting problems.

• Assist with the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment, including coding invoices, obtaining approval, and entering invoices into the accounting system for payment.

• Assist with the full accounts receivable cycle, including posting cash payments, resolving customer discrepancies, and reconciling the GL with the AR Aging Report.

• Perform contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers, and office lease.

• Develop, implement, and document new policies and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department and the company.

Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role

• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, preferably QuickBooks

• In-depth experience with preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations

• Strong knowledge in General Ledger management

• Experience in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations

• Proven ability to manage month end close procedures

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
