We are seeking a Software Engineer III who will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable software systems with a focus on Python development, cloud solutions, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions for our business needs.
What You'll Do:
Software Development:
Design, develop, test, and deploy robust applications and tools primarily using Python.
Create efficient and scalable algorithms for data processing and analytics.
Able to code effectively on any component within an end-to-end system (db, middleware, front end)
Solid experience in understanding and reverse engineering on existing implementation.
Analyzes and resolves moderate to complex production issues, defining approach and guidelines as required to resolve issue
Cloud Infrastructure:
Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EMR).
Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency and performance.
Data Engineering & Analytics:
Work with EMR (Elastic MapReduce) to process and analyze large-scale datasets.
Integrate data workflows and dashboards with DOMO APIs for seamless reporting.
DevOps & Automation:
Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to enable streamlined deployment and integration.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using best DevOps practices.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and other developers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team code reviews and technical discussions.
What You'll Need:
5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Python.
Proficiency with AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and EMR.
Hands-on experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Strong knowledge of DOMO API integration and custom solution development.
Expertise in DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with big data processing tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
Solid understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala).
Knowledge of serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack).
Knowledge of Marketing Cloud API's.
This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and directly impact the company's operational efficiency and decision-making.
The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
$102,000.00 - $150,000.00
