Description

We are seeking a Controller to join our team in San Ramon, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions across multiple companies. This role is involved in a variety of activities such as managing billing, supervising withholding and reporting processes, handling bank reconciliations, loans, and investment accounts, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

• Manage billing procedures for labor, and equipment, making sure accurate inventory tracking and invoicing.

• Handle bank reconciliations, loans, and investment accounts.

• Oversee rental equipment billing, acquisitions, and dispositions.

• Ensure timely monthly and yearly financial closings.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance, providing detailed variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met.

• Maintain partner capital/equity accounts, tracking contributions, distributions, and year-end pass-through profit/loss.

• Manage commercial insurance, workers' compensation renewals, and audits.

• Oversee office operations.

• Maintain SAP Business One and QuickBooks.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar financial management position

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) team

• Experience in Auditing is necessary

• Demonstrated expertise in Budget Processes

• Familiarity with SAP B1 - Business One software is expected

• Proven skills in Tax Preparation are required

• Must have experience in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Ability to develop and maintain Business partnerships

• Proficiency in Cash Management is necessary

• Strong Team Management skills are essential.
