Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a SCM Project Manager.

Description

• This role will support SCM Total Cost Out (TCO) through Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) idea generation resulting in timely execution of design driven cost reduction initiatives. This position will look to develop the pipeline of direct material cost reduction ideas and support prioritization of idea refinement and design validation phases.

• This role will also work with resiliency Projects and other related to Business continuity.

• Main KPI’s: Quality, Cost, Delivery of Projects on Time.

• Will coordinate and drive all other functions, such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, drive accountability amongst them to meet Project Targets.

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate strategic supplier value analysis events to generate cost reduction ideas through purchased part product design changes and supplier value stream mapping initiatives.

• Support Eaton product line engineering and plant value analysis events to identify and capture internally generated direct material design cost reduction ideas.

• Support total cost out pipeline development focused on idea capture, prioritization of projects, cost out calculations, implementation timing, business alignment and portfolio management.

• Monitor total cost out pipeline portfolio metrics on hopper healthiness, product line performance and action plans to sustain pipeline development year over year.

• Monitor achievement of Eaton plant and product line direct material cost out realization and support go-get gap reduction plans.

• Document and share lessons learned and best practices with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or engineering discipline from an accredited Institution

• Minimum of 4 year of experience in a in a manufacturing-based business.

• Minimum of 4 year of experience with value analysis / value engineering tools and techniques.

• English fluent.

Preferred qualifications:

• Green Belt certification preferred. Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.

• Knowledge of and ability to apply structured value analysis techniques and best practices. These include methods for optimizing the mix of function analysis (what something does) and the value for purposes of identifying and removing any and all unnecessary costs.

• Experience in using quality tools/methodologies (PPAP. APQP. MSA, SPC, auditing).

Skills:

• Knowledge of automotive industry-specific quality registration (ISO/TS16949).

• Ability to define problems, eliminate root cause(s), and create solutions and/or process improvements

• Effective people/interpersonal, negotiation, communication and customer skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications

• Proficient computer/systems knowledge and application skills (Oracle; Enovia, MS Office).
