TriMas Corporation Quality Engineer in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for managing the new product launch activities directly related to product and process quality and for identifying and implementing continuous improvement actions. The Quality Engineer will work directly with customers and suppliers to ensure design and manufacturing requirements are met. Continually seeks improvements to products and processes that make them more efficient and more robust. Implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Design Validation protocol development, execution and reporting.
Validation of continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives associated to core legacy processes and products.
Analyze data to determine improvement priority (knowledge of statistical analysis tools, such as MiniTab, Excel Pivot Tables, is preferred.
Recommends updates to procedures and instructions as required to ensure current practices are reflected in the procedures.
Uses prevention and problem-solving techniques to help reduce scrap and poor-quality costs.
Has theoretical and practical knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and their use in Rieke Packaging operations.
In the absence of the Quality Manager, performs interventions and/or presentations to the client.
Provides guidance and support as the facilitator role of the multidisciplinary team.
Visit customer if it is required
Represents the quality department in engineering meetings for the development of new products.
Maintains full participation in trainings, meetings, and activities to which they are assigned.
Actively participate in internal and external audits when required.
Seek continuous improvement in your area of work.
Provides quality subject matter training when requested
They have the responsibility of providing support for the implementation and maintenance of the Management System of security
Attend training courses that are scheduled.
Comply with the procedures of their respective areas and operations.
