BeiGene Senior Manager, Digital Corporate Communications in San Mateo, California

General Description:

The Senior Manager, Digital Corporate Communications will manage BeiGene.com content and updates. This role will also ensure that global content updates are included and reflected consistently across 13+ country BeiGene websites located throughout EU, LATAM, and Asia Pacific, following local regulatory laws.

This is a key role in Digital Communications to develop and write content that tells the corporate story and narrative in a consistent and unique way. As a digital storyteller, you will work closely with R&D, Human Resources, Corporate Affairs, Legal and Medical Affairs to create website content across these functions that shows the company’s global presence and our dedication to patients.

In this role you will work globally with countries to manage their local corporate websites that includes working with a translation agency on non-English sites and obtaining approval for content updates on the local country level. As BeiGene grows in new countries, additional country websites will be created using a standardized website template that includes some localization. Must have the understanding of the process of creating a new website from concept to launch.

The Senior Manager must possess strong organizational and project management skills and have experience working globally with different teams and functions. Having experience managing a content calendar and aligning with the social media team will be a key factor to success. Knowledge of local regulatory laws is a plus, but not required. Must have experience working with content management systems and the ability to manage a web agency for website updates. The Senior Manager, Digital Corporate Communications is a key team player and will report to the Sr. Director, Digital Corporate Communications and Reputation.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Extensive writing to tell the corporate narrative on digital channels.

  • Think creatively to create interesting stories using writing, video and other multimedia formats.

  • Manage the web content calendar and aligning with social media calendar and media releases.

  • Make minor updates to websites using a CMS.

  • Manage website agency and track all projects and updates across the portfolio of corporate websites.

  • Ensure that all corporate branding and corporate messaging is being correctly used across all sites.

  • Use analytical skills to provide monthly updates on website performance.

  • Work cross functionally with teams across the company and globe.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with 7 plus overall years of experience or an MA/MS/MBA with 5 plus years of overall experience.

  • Excellent writing skills and experience telling stories through writing.

  • PowerPoint and Excel experience, including project management required.

  • Experience evaluating and implementing enhanced functional capabilities preferred.

  • Highly organized and motivated individual possessing strong interpersonal, communication, written and analytical skills.

  • Have experience with analytics and be able to provide monthly updates on website performance.

  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement with cross-functional and high-level stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Ability to maintain multiple concurrent timelines with competing priorities, while remaining flexible and adapting quickly to changing needs.

  • Ability to drive operational excellence and consistently deliver timely results independently with limited guidance in support of multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to make minor updates to websites using a CMS.

Computer Skills:

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Website Content Management systems

  • Worked with a website content management system, like Word Press.
