BeiGene Director, Solid Tumor Franchise Communications in San Mateo, California
General Description:
Director, Solid Tumor Franchise Communications is responsible for shaping and developing product communications strategies for near-term pipeline assets and commercialized products through lifecycle management.
This role will report to the Executive Director, Product and Pipeline Communications. It will be based in the US with the expectation of domestic and international travel to congresses and key events.
Essential Functions of the job:
Partner with the ED, Product & Pipeline Communications to define the solid tumor oncology franchise communication strategies that support business objectives and convey the unique value of BeiGene, its platforms, and programs.
Drive the product and franchise strategy with special focus on how communications can deliver value with clear and specific tactics.
Draft an annual communications plan for the solid tumor franchise with defined objectives, impactful strategies, and actionable tactical programming, including budgeting.
Serve as communications counsel to Solid Tumor franchise leadership and Chief Medical Officer, Solid Tumors.
Directly lead and manage Tevimbra communications programs, including creating and executing launch planning; maintain in-depth knowledge of Tevimbra and the solid tumor business, including business goals, strategies, and market challenges.
Collaborate closely with R&D communications colleagues to grow awareness and understanding of BeiGene’s scientific expertise and ongoing clinical programs to expand into new indications.
Enhance BeiGene’s reputation as a trusted partner in the oncology community, working closely with the Commercial and Patient Advocacy teams.
Develop communications materials, including press releases, Q&As, social media content, website content, executive talking points, fact sheets, internal articles, etc.
Develop multi-channel strategies to share stories of BeiGene's impact and potential to help people living with cancer.
Work closely with Global and US Solid Tumor cross-functional partners, including commercial, medical affairs, legal, regulatory, and strategy leads to ensure alignment.
Ensure Corporate Affairs leadership is well-informed of developments, plans and strategies for the franchise.
Actively monitor the competitive landscape, ensure response readiness, and adapt communications strategies accordingly.
Create and execute branded and unbranded disease state education campaigns.
Oversee day-to-day management of external agencies, including budget oversight.

Qualifications:
8-10 years of healthcare communications experience including roles in PR agencies and in-house communications teams. Oncology communications experience preferred.
Deep experience in pharmaceutical product communications, including launch preparedness.
Well-versed in FDA, EMA and global regulatory guardrails.
Proficiency in Veeva is advantageous.
