Responsibilities:

• Oversee the review of financial statements and manage monthly close for apartment properties, coordinating with two accountants.

• Supervise the preparation of GAAP financial statements, internal audits, and tax filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Provide financial, accounting, and tax support for transactions, budget updates, and cash flow management.

• Manage capital availability, investor distributions, bank credit facilities, and investment of excess cash.

• Oversee payroll, benefits packages, and 401(k) management with PEO (Paychex), ensuring timely reporting and compliance.

• Maintain and upgrade accounting software, manage investor reporting database, and ensure system process compliance.

• Supervise the Accounting Department, motivating the team to achieve divisional goals and ensuring accurate transaction monitoring.

  Requirements

• 10+ years in corporate finance, financial accounting, tax concepts, and GAAP compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; graduate degree is a plus.

• CPA with Real Estate or PE industry experience.

• Hands-on preparation and review of financials for multiple properties.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and ability to learn Yardi, Sage, and Great Plains.

• Highly organized, able to prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

• Positive attitude, desire for long-term tenure, and openness to learning and improvement.
