BeiGene Associate Director, Commercial Learning & Development, HCP Clinical Training - Hematology in San Mateo, California

General Description:

The Associate Director, Commercial Learning & Development – Hematology, develops training programs to support our new and existing Hematology Sales and Commercial team. This role leverages robust learning & development experience to systematically assess training needs, then design and develop appropriate solutions to support business unit goals. This includes continuous evaluation of program effectiveness to provide quality world-class training within scope and budget considerations. Additional responsibilities of this role are dependent on business and departmental needs.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Designs and delivers innovative training plans and materials that prepare BeiGene’s Account Managers and the larger Commercial organization for long-term success in the hematology marketplace

  • Delivers world-class training for new hires and tenured representatives throughout the calendar year including New Hire Sales Training, Division Meetings, Regional Sales Meetings, Launch Meetings and National Meetings

  • Collaborates with Marketing, Market Access, IT, Commercial Operations and Sales leadership as a performance consultant to determine training needs

  • Develops training programs that are based on quantitative and qualitative marketplace, customer, and employee insights

Education Required:

  • Advanced Degree is required. Specifically a MA/MS in a scientific or healthcare discipline, MD, PharmD, NP, PA)

Preferred: Training Certifications , MBA

Qualifications:

  • MD, PhD, or PharmD with 5 plus years of experience or a MA/MS with 6 plus years of experience through a combination of hematology/oncology training and clinical practice (MD, NP, PharmD, PA) with direct patient care as a health care professional.

  • The candidate will need to demonstrate success in the following:

  • Ability to architect a learning curriculum based on needs analysis and incorporation of effective learning models with measurable results

  • Develop, design and deliver the learning curriculum materials with learning objectives aligned to business

  • Highly effective facilitation skills and understanding of adult learning principles to engage adult learners

  • Ability to organize end-to-end training and onboarding for Commercial new hires

  • Ability to translate clinical concepts with marketing message to execute learning curricula

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in Promotional & Regulatory Committee submission/approval process and maintenance of approved materials

  • Experience in selling and training oncology/hematology sales teams

  • Active membership in LTEN and/or ATD preferred

  • Certification in training capabilities, including but not limited to: project management, facilitation, adult learning, instructional design, virtual training, change management, performance consulting, sales consulting, training technologies etc.

  • Innovative mindset in delivering best-in-industry training

  • Team focused approach is essential while being able to work independently in a remote role

  • Proven leadership skills/high level of accountability

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with flexibility and agility in a fast-paced environment

Computer Skills:

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience with Vyond, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Smartsheets a plus.

  • Remote role with travel dependent on business need/environment
