Ethicon, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting a Scheduler . This position will be based at the San Lorenzo facility for approximately 3 months following the start date. Subsequently, the position will be based at the Manatí facility. Ethicon is expanding its manufacturing operations to Manatí, Puerto Rico. Resources hired will work in San Lorenzo temporarily until the Manatí Manufacturing Facility is operational.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates Work Orders for manufacturing, validations, programs and domestic testing.

  • Allocates materials to batches on host system.

  • Notifies the Capacity Planner of material shortages.

  • Responsible for completing Kanban Report on a shift basis.

  • Monitor batches longer than a certain period of time in the Kit Room, using the stage of WIP Report.

  • Assist the IPT Meetings.

  • Communicate any mayor issues to the shift incoming Scheduler.

  • Communicating to Kit Room changes in capacity in a day-to-day basis.

  • Ensure safe working conditions and practice in the Department.

  • Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001)

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma is required, Associate Degree is highly preferred.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience working within Warehouse or Manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) proficiency is required.

  • Knowledge of MFG/PRO, Excel is required.

  • Understanding procedures for ICO’s and PRA’s is preferred.

  • Understanding and adhering to EPS principles and rules is required.

  • Clear understanding of scheduling procedures and rules is required.

  • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

  • Availability to travel 10% of the time between Ethicon Locations, Domestic and/or international travel is required.
