Join the nation’s leading provider of concrete solutions as a Contracts Manager on a fully remote, temporary basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance and fit. This vital position is integral to managing the end-to-end lifecycle of contracts and subcontracts, including review, negotiation, administration, and compliance, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal standards, and risk mitigation strategies. We are seeking candidates with 5+ years of contracts management experience within construction, oil, gas, or energy-service-based industries, particularly those skilled in subcontractor agreements and prime contractor-subcontractor relationships. Proficiency in key contractual elements such as indemnity clauses, payment terms, and consequential damages is essential. This position is 100% remote, but candidates must reside in the West Coast or Mountain time zones to align with team schedules and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all contract activities across various business groups, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Lead contract negotiations, draft terms, and provide redlined recommendations to address risks and finalize agreements effectively.

• Implement and refine contract management procedures, promoting operational efficiency and mitigating risks.

• Review and analyze terms and conditions, proposing strategic alternatives to align agreements with business objectives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and project managers, to address contract-related pushbacks and drive seamless agreement execution.

• Draft and maintain templates for key contract provisions, including indemnity clauses, payment terms, and risk management language.

• Provide training and mentorship to team members on contracting best practices and compliance standards.

• Contribute to a collaborative contracts team by fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

  Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in contracts management, with a focus on drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts in construction, oil, gas, or energy-service-based industries.

• Strong knowledge of key contract terms, including indemnity clauses, payment terms, and consequential damages, and proven ability to mitigate risks effectively.

• Expertise in subcontractor agreements and prime contractor-subcontractor relationships, with a focus on compliance and risk allocation.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations and collaborate with diverse teams, including sales and operations.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven experience implementing streamlined contract processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
