FirstBank Puerto Rico Mortgage Loans Coordinator in San Juan, Puerto Rico

A Brief Overview The Mortgage Loans Coordinator (Closing Day) keeps customer updated/informed on all closing transaction steps. The position serves as the bank’s representative at closing process, ensuring that all required and necessary documents are signed and completed. Performs the disbursement process and as part of the quality control process, analyzes files and works on findings, if any. Keeps control on loans files.What You’ll Need to Succeed •Ensures that documents required for approved loan application are included on file for closing process. • Represents bank and takes over all responsibilities on mortgage closing process, including customer, lawyer, broker and all parties involved/concerned.• Keeps customer informed of the following steps: a) transaction costs, b) closing expenses, c) reimbursement.•Responsible to verify reimbursement amounts on checks and the delivery of these checks. •Before makes any reimbursement, the company is responsible to request property inspections where damage repair/corrections are required. Prepared and delivered the required documents to the corresponding department.•On consolidated loans, if rectification is required on account balance based on product, he/she is responsible to process the new reimbursement check. On refinancing case, is responsible to deliver checks to the proper reimbursement centers.•Supported by the Product Marketing Representative, verify/ensures that all closing documents are signed once the closing process ends. Monitors/requests any correction, if needed.•After reimbursement, scanned the corresponding closing documents to the common file.•When loans have government assistance program for down payment, prepare and send closing package to the corresponding government office, follow up to receive the funds and after completion, send the check to accounting department. •Through Mortgage Cancellation Service Company coordinates the delivery of the cancellation checks to other institutions. •On a monthly basis, prepares the following reports: a) cancellations done/worked; b) pending cancellations; c) payments done; d) Mortgage Cancellation Services company/payments pending. •Responsible for files delivery to central file and keep control over these files.•Receives telephone calls either from customers or providers.What You’ll Need:· An Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field is required for this job.· The incumbent must have three (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience in the Mortgage area, in a similar position preferable.· Fully bilingual (Spanish/English)
