The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer will lead development on applications built within Azure cloud and related applications on-prem and in other cloud environments. This person will collaborate with cloud architects, solution engineering leads, senior business leaders, and product owners to implement innovative cloud solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and data science insights.

The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture. May work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions. Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud-based products/services, applications and solutions. Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Job Responsibilities

· Work in agile product development framework

· Ensure team is following enterprise technical, security, and architectural best practices

· Advance the adoption of new techniques, tools, and processes to streamline delivery capabilities

· Lead cloud solutions based on business requirements and approved architecture

· Evaluate and integrate tools and frameworks required to provide desired capabilities

· Diagnose system performance issues and advise on necessary changes

· Break down components of a solution and lead implementation efforts

· Interact with product and business stakeholders beyond engineering

· Mentor and coach associate/contractor engineers

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical and development experience

• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering

• Experience with ETL, SQL, PySpark

• Experience managing cloud applications

• Experience with git repositories and release pipelines

• Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail

• Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree

• Healthcare experience highly desired.

• 1 or more professional Azure or Google certifications

• Experience in Oracle and Snowflake Data Warehousing

• Experience in Terraform

Work-At-Home Requirements

• WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$129,300 - $177,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
