Finance & Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for projects related to accounting, tax compliance, bookkeeping, corporate finance, and legal matters among others.

Essential Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities or Your Role:

Accounting Tasks:

Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to GAAP. Responsible for performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings (i.e., bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, consolidation, journal entries, equity pick up) and correspondent financial reporting. Management of A/R and A/P processes, and work with customers and vendors with potential discrepancies. Work with external auditors and tax accountant for accurately and timely completion of annual, tax returns and annual reports. Participate as an individual contributor and a team member with senior team members and outside professionals (e.g. lawyers, auditors, advisors) on complex accounting and financial reporting matters. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Perform corporate reporting of local trial balance and supplemental forms. Serve as local point of contact to the Parent Company Accounting Team. Responsible for managing modules(A/R, A/P, Projects, GL, Users) in ERP. Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Financial Planning & Analysis Tasks

Prepare Annual Operating Plan(AOP) of income, expenses and cash flows of local technology operation Prepare monthly reforecast of income, expenses and cash flows of local technology operation Prepare variance analysis of actuals financial results -vs- AOP/reforecast -vs- AOP Perform analysis of business data to obtain understanding of current operations and prepare trends Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies. Collaborate with other functional teams, communicate financial results, and recommend solutions for plan deviations. Serve as local point of contact to the Parent Company FP&A Team.

Technical Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required. 5+ or more years of accounting/tax/bookkeeping experience Spanish and English fluency, both written and oral Certified Public Accountant (CPA), highly preferred Accounting skills necessary to generate, prepare and review general ledger, journal entries, records in accordance to GAAP, etc. Must understand corporate income tax returns and ensure timely filing of all tax returns. Proficient in accounting software (i.e.QuickBooks, Sage Intacct or other) Technical proficiency in accounting/financial management including ability (along with team) to prepare financial statements Ability to identify variances and research questions regarding financial activity and to improve accounting processes & procedures. Must be an advanced Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint user (Samples of work will be requested)

While we mindfully strive to have work life balance, candidates are expected to be occasionally available to work late nights, weekends and holidays when closing deals, which occur once or twice a year. Depending on performance, the analyst can advance rapidly through the organization, both in terms of roles and compensation. Candidates must obtain 90% or more in their Excel assessment. Physical & Safety Requirements:

Primarily sedentary with some walking, standing, and carrying of light objects. Adequately lighted and area where normal precautions for use of office equipment must be observed.

This is a standard 40-hour workweek job that may require additional and flexible hours as necessary to complete project deadlines on time.

Compensation:

Compensation is commensurate with experience level. The Finance & Accounting Manager position will be an integral part of our team and will have a competitive combination of base salary, Performance Bonus, 401K, Medical Insurance 85%-50% contribution, Sick Leave, and Personal Time Off.
