Intel Lab Process Engineer in San José, Costa Rica

Job Description

The IPAS Long-Term Retention Hub team supports a lab in Costa Rica hosting 10+ years of Intel platforms (>5,000 systems). Intel Engineers from all over the world need immediate remote access capabilities. Over the past 5 years, this team has been providing Intel and IPAS the capability to access various Intel products and configurations. IPAS’ vision is to empower our customers with the most secure systems, software and solutions, driven by innovation, to enhance security capabilities they trust.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drives lab systems engineering including the development of solutions to improve lab quality, compliance, and throughput.

  • Drives monitoring, record keeping, and reporting for lab equipment including maintenance, service, calibration, and testing activities.

  • Creates and develops test plans for new features on each product and recommends improvements to enable automated scripting for testing and archiving of results.

  • Drives lab execution including engineering analysis, instrumentation, data analysis, and result reporting.

  • Resolves reported bugs and root causes issues that could impact product quality and experience. Develops plans and cost estimates based on requirements and assesses projects to analyze risks and rewards, drive procurement of equipment and other lab materials, and development of lab infrastructure.

  • Ensures lab preparedness including bench setup, procurement of test equipment and other lab materials, and infrastructure requirements.

  • Collaborates with functional teams such as IT, security, and facilities to maintain a successful lab.

  • Develops and coordinates the design, development, and implementation of new ideas, process, and systems for lab improvements needed to meet program deliverables.

Level 3 Support for CW Team:

Support CW team in the debug on Intel Products/Platforms. This includes physically engagement with the system with issues, contact developers and board designers, investigate in all available intel resources looking for relevant information that can help solve the issue presented on the Level 3 Ticket.

LTR Hub Continuous Improvement:

LTR hub is a wide range of areas department, the department requires continues questioning on "what can be done different or better" So the self-motivation and self-analysis of ways to improve the process, help other departments on facilitating their work is a key role. Other partners will see this position as a support position for CW and for BB too in multiple ways.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in engineering, Computer science, IT, or equivalent experience (2+ hands on experience)

  • 2+ years of experience in Linux and Windows command prompt

  • Intermediate to Advanced English level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Intel Debug Knowledge of products and PythonSV

  • Advanced Excel Knowledge

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
