Localization Quality Assurance Tester (BR-PT)

As a Localization Tester at Lionbridge Games, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of game translations for global audiences. Leveraging your language expertise and passion for video games, you will evaluate localized content, identify issues, and provide valuable feedback for improvement. This is a hybrid position at our office in Escazú, San José, Costa Rica.

What You Will Do:

• Evaluate game translations, ensuring consistency, language correctness, and proper layout of on-screen text, audio, and subtitles.

• Execute and update test cases to verify the quality of localized content.

• Identify and report issues, providing constructive suggestions for solutions.

• Document and track bugs in English using bug databases, adhering to project requirements.

• Collaborate with test leads and international testers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

• Ensure cultural correctness in the target market for your language.

• Verify console terminology to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Analyze products through gameplay and testing to gain insights and provide feedback for improvements.

• Perform tasks assigned by the supervisor to support project objectives.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

• Native-level proficiency in the target language ( Brazilian Portuguese ) with expert knowledge of its culture.

• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills at an upper intermediate level.

• Passion for video games and a broad understanding of video game platforms.

• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Game Localization, Translation, or Proofreading is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.

• Ability to quickly and effectively learn new tools.

• Capability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.

• Preferred higher education in languages or technology.
