Description

Boutique commercial litigation firm is seeking a dedicated Litigation Paralegal to join their congenial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including filing documents to state courts, organizing document productions, and assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation. This role presents an opportunity to work in an intimate and team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle filing and E-Filing of documents to state courts.

• Organize documents and coordinate document productions, including bate-stamping, redaction, duplication, and indexing of documents.

• Aid attorneys in all stages of litigation, preparing case files for hearings and trials.

• Schedule appointments, court dates, and depositions on the Firm’s master calendar.

• Draft letters and simple court documents.

• Conduct legal research and examine judicial decisions on LexisNexis and the internet.

• Assist attorneys in preparing cases for hearings.

• Prepare discovery and responses to discovery demands.

• Communicate with clients, providing updates, and gathering information.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements • Must possess experience in the role of a Paralegal

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required

• Should have experience with Case Management Software

• Ability to handle Billing Functions efficiently

• Must have experience in Briefing

• Calendar Management skills are essential

• Knowledge of e-Filing procedures is required

• Familiarity with State Courts is necessary

• Must be able to use Bate Stamp - Label

• Should have Civil Litigation Experience

• Commercial Litigation skills are mandatory

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary

• Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• A bachelor's degree in law or a related field is required

• Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making skills are required

• Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
