Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Media Failure Analysis Team is looking for a highly motivated technician willing to contribute at the highest level.
We seek someone who demonstrates the desire to learn various technical areas, has out-of-the-box thinking, and can bring creative ideas and solutions to technical challenges.
This position entails performing multiple failure analysis techniques to characterize media and other HDD components, as we support both development and manufacture of HDD media.
Qualifications
- AFM experience - Our current toolset includes tools such as the Bruker Dimension Icon.
- SEM/EDS experience - Our current SEM toolset consists of Hitachi and Zeiss SEMs.
- The ideal candidate has experience with related materials analysis and characterization tools and techniques and can prepare effective analysis reports with accurate, detailed data.
- Energetic and enthusiastic and have a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Hasa strong work ethic with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to work to deadlines in a team-oriented environment are essential.
- Demonstrates desire to learn other technical tools.
- Can communicate effectively (verbal and written) both with peers and customers.
- Has familiarity and knowledge of computers and Windows based software.
Past hands-on materials analysis laboratory environment/experience a plus
